We begin our 47th Season with an incredible concert highlighting Anderson’s own Emma Campbell.  Emma, a student of Concertmaster, Byron Plexico, is a 16 year-old prodigy who
has played with the ASO and other area orchestras this past season.  The program will include the Overture to The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, Haydn Violin Concerto No. 4, and Beethoven Symphony No. 7.

  

A pre-concert music talk will be presented by Dr.
Christopher Holmes of the AU School of Music at 6:30 in the Marquee Room.

Broadway Musical Review

Let’s celebrate Maestro Sowers’ 25th Season with a Broadway Musical Review!  Expect an evening of your favorite Broadway tunes and show-stopping fun.  Anderson Symphony vocal guests include Lawrence Brownlee, Heather Bays, Lynelle Jonsson and more with solos, ensembles and duets that will keep your toes tapping all summer long.

 

The fun doesn’t end with the concert.  Join us for dessert, drinks, more music, and special Champagne Toast to the Maestro’s 25th Season at our After-Party. 

$25 per couple, $13 per person.

Mozart Requiem & Lux Aeterna at York Hall

For the first time, the ASO season includes a special concert at Anderson University’s York Hall. In collaboration with Anderson University, the ASO will present Mozart’s moving Requiem with the AU Chorale and professional soloists, as well as Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna also featuring the AU Chorale. 

Season ticket holders must choose between the Saturday evening and the Sunday matinee at 3PM.

 

A pre-concert music talk will be presented Dr. Christopher
Holmes of the AU School of Music at 6:30 and 2 PM for the matinee.

A Symphony Christmas

December 13 at 7:30 PM

There’s nothing better than Christmas with the Anderson
Symphony.  Enter the historic Paramount Theatre and step back in time to your childhood Christmas favorites.  Highlights include White Christmas, Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, and of course the night wouldn’t be complete without our annual audience sing-along.  Lots of traditional favorites and a few surprises! It’s the most wonderful time to enjoy the Anderson Symphony, so don’t miss this concert.

Family Halloween Concert

November 1 at 7:30 PM

It’s back!  Our
family-focused Halloween Concert returns in 2014.  An ASO audience favorite features well-known
eerie music, horror film music, and creepy classical thrillers.  We invite children and the young at heart to dress in costume alongside our musicians and conductor for an unforgettable,
fun family concert.  Children are also invited to partake in a costume contest and parade.  Your skin will be crawling with fun!
