Carl Orff’s famous Carmina Burana closes this epic season. Composed in 1935, this piece sets a collection of poems from the middle ages to fiercely powerful music. The opening and closing movements “O Fortuna” have been featured in countless movies and commercials but hearing the entire work will genuinely inspire you. Three professional vocalists and a chorus of over 100 will join the ASO.
Dr. Christopher Holmes, Anderson University School of Music, will present free pre-concert talks at select concerts at 6:30 in the Marquee Room. -
